Taking Care of Others is the Driving Principle Behind Our Business

“Taking Care of Families” drives Archford’s goal of exceeding client expectations.  Not only does this philosophy extend to our clients, but to our local communities as well. Our CEO and Founder Jim Maher was named “Volunteer of the Year” by the St. Louis Association of Fundraising Professionals in 2019. In creating our philanthropic service, one of our five core values is Shared Success. We are truly a donor’s advocate, as we help position people to give in their best interest of themselves and their families to the nonprofit organizations they choose to support.

We believe nonprofit organizations are the backbones of our communities. We strive to support them through our philanthropic services and initiatives. We serve as “Donor Advocates” for our clients, helping them give in the best interest of themselves and their families.

Donor Minute™

We have created a simple online questionnaire that shares the best way to donate to a charity based on your family’s specific situation. It is free and only takes a minute to get your results! Legacy IRA® Certified Advisor

At Archford, our team of financial advisors has trademarked Legacy IRA®, meaning we are focused on helping our clients give in the best interest of themselves and their families. We are also a proud sponsor of Gifting Insider™. It is an information sharing platform to help making the giving process easier and more impactful for both donors and non-profits.

When a donor gives through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from his or her IRA, he or she receives the following benefits:

  • Eliminate tax owed on Required Minimum Distribution (RMD)
  • Family remains in control of the donor’s individual retirement assets
  • Helps preserve after-tax money for the donor’s family
  • Ensures accurate tax filing
  • May lower insurance premiums due to lower adjusted gross income (AGI)

The Legacy IRA® process also allows charities to easily track and process Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) received from donors.

Reduce Your Medicare Premiums with a Qualified Charitable Distribution

As mentioned above, by giving through your IRA, a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) will allow you to reduce the income tax owed on your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). This can reduce your insurance premiums due to a lower adjusted gross income (AGI).

The chart below breaks down 2019 annual Medicare Part B premiums based on your 2017 income.*

*This may also lower the cost of your Medicare Part D (prescription drug) premiums.

Archford Angels

Are you a business owner looking to instill a culture of caring and philanthropy throughout your company? Three years ago, we launched the Archford Angels initiative. In the past three years, the program has raised $607,000 for local charities. We have created a free philanthropic campaign guide so you can easily implement a similar initiative for your team. You can access it here.

Our goal is to make the gifting process as impactful and simple as possible. If you are a philanthropic-driven individual, we can help you give donations in a way that best makes sense for your unique financial goals. Contact us today.
