At Archford, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Tax Director to join our team and lead our accounting department.

As a Tax Director, you will play a crucial role in introducing cutting-edge technologies into our operations. Our focus is on the continual advancement of tax practices through technology, ensuring that our clients receive top-tier tax services. You will also be instrumental in fostering new business relationships, thereby driving forward our commitment to modernizing tax practices.

The Role:  
Archford Accounting is seeking a Tax Director who will play a critical role in the primary management of our accounting division. This role involves working closely with the CFO/CCO, Tax Managers, and entire Archford team to make informed business decisions concerning personnel, processes, and technology. The Tax Director will ensure the implementation and maintenance of Archford’s service model, manage the tax team, and oversee client relationships and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and manage the accounting and tax team to ensure project deadlines are met and compliance with the latest tax laws. 
  • Client Advisory: Formulate and implement tailored advice for clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery. 
  • Business Development: Convert prospective clients and develop new client relationships, working closely with wealth advisors and other service professionals. 
  • Facilitate: Guide and shape the development of policies, while effectively supervising employees across multiple locations. 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • CPA certification 
  • Minimum of 10 years of client-facing public accounting experience 
  • Strong leadership skills and a team-oriented mentality 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Strong client service orientation, motivated by helping people 
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, UltraTax, Salesforce/CRM system, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Outlook is preferred
