Chuck Brueggemann assists privately held companies with maximizing company value which includes navigating family business transitions and family wealth to the next generation. Chuck’s involvement in this area stems from his unique gift as a communicator and a trained mediator. The ability to elicit information is a rare talent that has been honed through experience and training in a variety of settings which include crisis line intervention coach, law enforcement hostage negotiator, Reid Interrogation methods, homicide and special victims’ investigations, certified life coach and experienced executive coach.
His professional career spans both public and private settings, most notably 25 years with the Illinois State Police, retiring as the First Deputy Director, the highest rank a sworn officer can hold. Thereafter, Chuck consulted with a closely held family business with international reach; he held the position of Sr. VP of Business Development for Jim’s Formal Wear, LLC. Chuck also served eight years as the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Special Advisor to the President at McKendree University. Since 1999, Chuck has served as an advisor for a closely held business and as a trustee for their family trusts.
Chuck joined the Archford team on a full-time basis in 2021, he serves as the Chief of Staff and Transition Coach, in this role he has the responsibility of overseeing all matters relative to people, marketing, consulting and communications.
Chuck was raised, the youngest of six siblings, in the Midwest and maintains close ties to his family. He is an alum of McKendree University with an undergraduate degree in Business and Social Justice, as well as a Master of Arts in Homeland Defense and Security from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. He and his wife, Susan, have two grown daughters.
